RW FT MX-X T10 A FASTENERS

KARA utilises our custom fasteners. You’ll only need one tool, a Torx T10 driver (included), to assemble and disassemble most of the keyboard. Except for the CSK screws in the plate which uses a T6 driver (included).

RW x KAIJU KARA

KARA, our newest 60% keyboard offering, with MUTE mounting technology, is an accessible design derived from the M60-A. Injection moulded in high-quality ABS, KARA embodies a retro-modern aesthetic and an infusion of tasteful nostalgia into any setup.


KARA has been engineered with considered attention to detail, improving on design and standing as our most significant release to date. Featuring the distinctive RAMA WORKS® form factor, every component has been created from scratch and refined through iteration to create a completely unique product.


Materials were thoughtfully chosen with performance, quality and tactile feel in mind. Trials with various material composites determined the ABS housing and PC plate. ABS was chosen conclusively due to the flexible properties and minimal warping, allowing for a better assembly experience, by providing an allowance for comfortable interlocking of parts. The more rigid material properties of the PC plate specifically accompanies the MUTE mount, providing a dynamic yet stable typing experience. 

SOLDERLESS & PER SWITCH RGB

In an effort to provide the best end-user experience available, the KARA PCB features a hotswap PCB that requires no soldering to construct with any Cherry MX-compatible switches. KARA offers a USB-C connection attached to the USB Extension PCB. There will be additional PCBs also available for individual sale. The board includes per-switch RGB LEDs surface-mounted under the PCB, which require no installation. 

RAMA WORKS® MUTE

KARA features our updated mounting technology, MUTE — engineered for a responsive typing feedback experience and dampened sound signature. MUTE is made from non-conductive silicone, which isolates the plate inside the enclosure and provides a unique typing experience. 

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

KARA is available in translucent and opaque housings, with the additional variety of translucent plate colours and materials, which you can mix & match. KARA comes with new possibilities for colour choices and combinations — match the backplate with your selected keyset, or combine opaque and translucent finishes for distinctive contrast in current and future releases.

Add your own MX switches and compatible keycaps and stylise it to your liking!

GO HEAVIER

There is also an optional interior weight for extra heft and resonance. The optional interior weight is a bead blasted brass weight which has been PVD coated.

DAMPENER

The optional interior dampener is a moulded silicone insert which absorbs the sound inside the keyboard for an adjusted acoustic signature.
